Terms and Conditions

Limitation of Liability; Indemnity

Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute, Inc, (“SWFI”) does not assume any responsibility for the protection and safety of you (the “Prospective Delegate”) or any guests of SWFI, or for the protection of the property of Prospective Delegate or any guests of SWFI, from theft or damage or destruction by fire, accident, or any other cause. Any security services provided by SWFI shall be deemed purely gratuitous and shall in no way be construed to make SWFI liable for any loss or inconvenience suffered by the Prospective Delegate. The Prospective Delegate assumes responsibility and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SWFI and the ownership and management of the event facilities and their respective employees and agents against any and all claims or liability of any nature whatsoever arising from the activities (or omissions) of the Prospective Delegate in connection with SWFI events. SWFI shall not have any liability for losses (in contract, tort, warranty or otherwise) incurred in connection with any typographical errors or other inaccuracies (such as in a Prospective Delegate’s name, address, phone number or e-mail address) which may ultimately appear in any SWFI material.

Registration Verification

All registration requests are subject to verification by SWFI, which may include requests for additional information. Registered delegates may be asked to present photographic identification upon arrival at SWFI events and must display valid SWFI name badges for access to all sessions and evening events.

Intellectual Property

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Prospective Delegate hereby consents to be a part of photographs, videos or other recordings taken at SWFI events and authorizes the use and reproduction of such by SWFI or any other person authorized by SWFI. All such photographs, videos, or other recordings, including any and all intellectual property in connection therewith, shall be the sole property of SWFI. To the extent such ownership rights vest in you by operation of law or otherwise, the Prospective Delegate hereby assigns all rights, title and interest in such intellectual property to SWFI. The Prospective Delegate hereby expressly releases SWFI, and its assigns, agents and employees from all privacy, defamation or other claims, demands, and liabilities whatsoever in connection with the use of any of the above.

Refund Policy, Delegate Cancellations and Transfer

Registration cancellation requests received in writing on or prior to 30 days before the start of the event will qualify for a refund, less a 25% administration fee. No refund will be given on cancellation requests received after this date. Should the original delegate be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge; in this case, please contact SWFI to update the participant registration details. Any cancellation or substitution requests should be made to events@swfinstitute.org.

Partial substitutions (such as for a single day or individual event sessions/evening events) are not permitted.

Event Cancellations

SWFI reserves the right to cancel, alter, or reschedule SWFI events for any reason, including because SWFI determines in its sole discretion that a particular SWFI event cannot be held as planned. In the unlikely event of cancellation, alteration or rescheduling for any reason, the Prospective Delegate will receive a credit to attend a future SWFI event. In that case, neither SWFI, nor its affiliated entities, nor its employees accept responsibility for travel and/or accommodation costs or consequential losses incurred by the Prospective Delegates as a result. SWFI recommends that Prospective Delegates arrange appropriate insurance cover.
